My new toy

o.k., this probably won't excite any of you, except maybe those of you who scrapbook or do crafts.  I got my very own Cricut machine.  And I LOVE it.  I can tell I will have lots of fun with this new toy.  It is a very early Mother's Day and Birthday gift from my hubby.

It can do so many neat things, as you can see below.  All these pics are made from one cartridge.
The problem I see with this new toy, is wanting to get every cartridge that is made (well almost all of them).  Thankfully my friend Sheila got one too and we can share our cartridges.  (which is a good thing because we are already at 8 between the two of us.)
So if you are thinking of getting one, I highly recommend it.  I truly believe in the long run, that it will save you money.  No more wasting letters or things that you don't use.  If you can share with someone, even better.  More cost effective.  I also recommend getting it through EBAY.  You can get some good deals out there if you are patient.  I saved $100 on my machine.

So to cricut or not to cricut, I say cricut.

Time for scrapbooking

I finally got time to do something I really enjoy and that is scrapbooking.  Of course, it helps that I was away with a friend and had some wine to go along with it.  My friend Sheila and I went out of town last weekend to a scrapbook house.  Literally that is all it is.  It was a great set up.  We worked for 48 hours (obviously we slept some).  It was great to get inspired again and get the creative juices going.  Jim did great without me and he even had to keep the house up, as we had several showings on our house. (that's another story)  So I thought I would share a few pics of what I accomplished.

For those of you who scrap, I got 39 pages completed.  It felt great to get so many accomplished.  I need a lot more of those weekends to even get close to being caught up.
