My new toy

o.k., this probably won't excite any of you, except maybe those of you who scrapbook or do crafts.  I got my very own Cricut machine.  And I LOVE it.  I can tell I will have lots of fun with this new toy.  It is a very early Mother's Day and Birthday gift from my hubby.

It can do so many neat things, as you can see below.  All these pics are made from one cartridge.
The problem I see with this new toy, is wanting to get every cartridge that is made (well almost all of them).  Thankfully my friend Sheila got one too and we can share our cartridges.  (which is a good thing because we are already at 8 between the two of us.)
So if you are thinking of getting one, I highly recommend it.  I truly believe in the long run, that it will save you money.  No more wasting letters or things that you don't use.  If you can share with someone, even better.  More cost effective.  I also recommend getting it through EBAY.  You can get some good deals out there if you are patient.  I saved $100 on my machine.

So to cricut or not to cricut, I say cricut.

  1. AWESOME! I love it! So you got it through EBay? Or at Joanne Fabrics? I can't wait to see what you come up with ...I love Evan's name on top. That will look great in his room!

  2. I got it on Ebay, for about the same I would have gotten it at Joann but I didn't have to pay shipping or taxes. The letters aren't as big as the appear. I have the smaller cricut so the largest letter can't be more than 5 inches tall. Sorry if it looks like they are larger than that. But I am going to use those letters in his scrapbook for his birthday.

  3. I suppose I could do something with that in his room. You got me thinking Laura. Just think of the fun banners you could make with the letters.
